As the Manager/Director of UK NHS funded Airevalley Counselling & Therapy Lynn had the responsibility for supervising over 30 Counsellors.
Whilst she was there her commitment to provide equal and fair access to counselling led her to implementing several free services, including free counselling for veterans, drug and alcohol users and those who had experienced domestic violence.
She also introduced new counselling approaches and resources and increased the client base by 130% following a successful rebranding of the service, thus securing ongoing funding.
She has worked as a Senior Mental Health Practitioner for the UK NHS providing mental health interventions to families with Young Carers. Her work formed part of the Think Family Pathfinders research project which looked at turning around the lives of families with multiple problems.
She has set up and managed many new projects including new Day Centres for the Over 60's. She was one of the first in the UK to deliver the ITEP programme which is an evidence based treatment to help prevent relapse in drug and alcohol users and is endorsed by leading Health Services worldwide.
Most recently she has been invited to serve on the Board of Counsellors Victoria in the position of Secretary.
